Sharing a classic
Sat down with the kids tonight to read to them before bedtime and decided I didn't want three or four little story books. I wanted a chapter book. So I grabbed my beloved boxed set of Little House books and pulled out my dog eared copy of Little House in the Big Woods. As I read the first sentence I almost teared up, as the story came rushing back to me. These are my favorite books of all time and I'm so excited to share them with the kids and experience it all over with them.

How fun!
I was so so so excited to read some poems from A Light In The Attic to the kids awhile back. We sat down and they hated it and got up. I was so mad, they were mad...your experience was much better! Now they won't let me pick out books. LOL. I do, though, think Jill will love the Ramona Quimby books soon.
This is so strange! I was just thinking that I'd like to start reading to Eliot from a chapter book, and the ones coming to mind were the Little House books. Great minds think alike.
