A great cause

Hey everyone, I'm asking for help today. Do you remember a few months ago when I told you about a few of my friends whose young kids had been diagnosed with cancer? Well, two of them are now participating in a fundraiser called St. Baldrick's. Taking a quote from the St. Baldrick's website, their mission is to "raise awareness and funds to cure kids' cancer by supporting cancer research and fellowships." The way they do that is by having participants raise money by having people sponsor them to shave their heads. Two weeks from today, Jenny and Sharon will be shaving their heads in the hopes of someday finding a cure. You can click on their names above to donate. And if you can't donate, at least keep all of those children and families in your prayers! Thank you.

We're home!

We got home yesterday after spending five days down in So Cal visiting Adam's parents. We had a great time seeing family and friends we don't get to see often enough. The kids had a blast feeding Aunt Abi's horse and having pillow fights with Grandpa, and Lauren and Grandma made playdough together. Saturday was Uncle Andy's birthday (enjoy your last year being twentysomething!) and we had fun celebrating with him.

We also went to play in a life size Noah's Ark at the Skirball Cultural Center. Adam was so excited to catch a glimpse of Neil Patrick Harris (aka Doogie Howser!) and Josh Radnor of How I Met Your Mother. Ha ha ha!

Here's a great picture of the kids reading with Uncle Abram, and the rest of the pictures are here.

Happy Valentine's Day

And Happy Birthday to Noni, too!

Such a boy

One of the first things I do when I get Owen out of the bath is to lay him down on his changing table and hand him a brush for his hair. Today all I could find was a comb. I guess it looked like a sword to him, because he immediately pointed it at me and said, "Hi yaa, Mama, hi yaa! Hi yaa hi yaa!"

Daddy was teaching the kids kung fu last night, can you tell?

I just remembered...

Four years ago today (Super Bowl Sunday) Adam and I were registering for baby items for Lauren's baby shower. How time flies!

Super Bowl Sunday

Owen's got his game face on. Notice the face paint (AKA dry erase marker). Go team!
